Dr. Benedikt Ortmann, Global Director Solar Projects, BayWa r.e.
Dr. Ortmann is the global head of BayWa r.e. Solar Projects. He looks back at more than 15 years of experience in photovoltaic projects all over the world and is responsible for BayWa’s 6+ GW solar pipeline and ca. 200 people staff worldwide to date. Prior to joining BayWa in 2011, Dr. Ortmann was the global head for solar projects at SOLON SE, Berlin and CFO of S.A.G. Solarstrom AG, Freiburg.

Benedikt’s Opening Address: “The winner takes it all – LCOE of PV” will analyse the first subsidy free utility scale PV project in Spain (“Don Rodrigo”), and will compare the LCOE of PV with other technologies, showing an outlook on the spread of unsubsidised solar covering Europe, in the coming years.
